Learning More About The Rich Indian Culture

Indian culture has intrigued many people who have heard about and who do not really understand it or know much about it. Culture in itself represents manners or a level of intellectual development. In India the culture is diverse and rich in nature. Indians are very big on good manners and in fact good manners are a means of communicating with each other in this culture.

Even though many Indian people have been exposed to other cultures and ways of living, this is still very important to them. They have not let modernization get in the way of what is so very important to them at a core level. It matters not that they may now dress differently or even eat different, character that has been formed over time should not be allowed to change.

It is within the tradition of these people to treat guests as though they were a god. Furthermore, guests will be treated as though they were close family members. Guests are given food even it means members of the household may go hungry. Elders are respected like no other people are respected.

Young people are believed to be blessed if they touch elders feet. Elders have the responsibility of teaching culture to the younger people. Indians are taught to respect one another and that everyone is equal. Relationships between worker and employee are more like that of family than that of master and slave.

As youngsters these people are taught to help one another if people are in need. This could be money, a kind word or a kind deed. Pain and sadness is shared and joy and happiness are multiplied and distributed to all and sundry.

Indian culture is driven to make the world a better place to live in. This is by fostering an attitude of cooperation. Music and dancing is also a big part of their culture.
